What data do we collect?

Our Organisation collects the following data:

  • Personal identification information (Name, Nationality, Date of birth, Gender, Phone number, email address, address etc.)

  • Your attendance at our services (Which services you attend and how frequently you access these services).  

How do we collect your data?

You directly provide Samos Volunteers with most of the data we collect. We collect data and process data when you:

  • Register for our services.

  • Attend our services.

  • Complete an application to volunteer for our organisation. 

How will we use your data?

Samos Volunteers collects your data so that we can:

  • Register you for classes and activities that you attend.

  • To ensure fair accessing of distributions of materials or resources. 

  • Contact you about accessing new services provided. 

  • For auditing the accessing of our services by different groups. 

  • For sharing with our donors which demographics are accessing our services and identifying gaps and needs in service reach (we will never share any data that can identify specific individuals but rather the results of the analysis of this data). 

Samos Volunteers will not share your data with other organisations without requesting your specific consent first. 

How do we store your data?

Samos Volunteers securely stores your data at Samos Volunteers GSuite (Google Cloud).

Samos Volunteers will keep your personal information for 7 years. Once this time period has expired, we will delete your data by permanently deleting any copies from the cloud. 

What are your data protection rights?

Samos Volunteers would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:

The right to access – You have the right to request Samos Volunteers for copies of your personal data. We may charge you a small fee for this service.

The right to rectification – You have the right to request that Samos Volunteers correct any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request Samos Volunteers to complete the information you believe is incomplete.

The right to erasure – You have the right to request that Samos Volunteers erase your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to restrict processing – You have the right to request that Samos Volunteers restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
