Join the Advocacy Campaign

Great that you would like to help us with our campaign!

Faced with the threat of COVID-19, guidelines from the European Union have emphasised the need to practice social distancing, follow strict hygiene measures and “cocoon” our old and medically vulnerable. In the Reception and Identification Centre (camp) on Samos, currently 11 times over capacity, this is simply not possible.

As EU leaders call for cross-border solidarity, we cannot allow our elected representatives to turn away from the 42,000 men, women and children trapped in the camps of the Aegean Islands.

Use your time in lockdown to become an advocate for change! Join us in contacting Members of the European Parliament and demanding action.

Lockdown measures can make us feel helpless and detached, but this is a way for you to take action from your home. We believe that every voice counts.

Let’s use our lockdown time wisely! Let’s choose action!

We have drafted a template to help you on your way. Take a few simple steps and have your voice heard!

  1. Download the template email in your language, using the link below;

  2. Add the name of the recipient at the top, and your own at the bottom;

  3. Feel free to customise the letter and add or remove according to the target audience and your taste;

  4. Copy and paste this message in an email (do not attach it as a file, email filters could block attachments);

  5. Search for your MEPs here, and create their email address using this format: firstname.lastname@europarl.europa.eu;

  6. Send!

  7. Let your friends and us know that you have sent joined our campaign by sharing it on your social media. You can tag us on your picture or in your post.
